What time do the gates open?

Barossa Polo kicks off at 2pm on Friday December 3rd and 12noon on Saturday December 4th

When are last drinks?

We’ll start playing “Closing Time” at 8pm on Friday night and 7pm on Saturday night

I'm in a Private Marquee, what are the package times?

Private Marquee Hospitality Packages start at 3pm and concludes at 7pm on Friday. On Saturday, private marquee packages start at 1pm and conclude at 5pm. 

What time are the polo matches scheduled?

Friday December 3

Polo Game 1
2:30 – 3:30pm

Polo Game 2
4:30 – 5:30pm

Saturday December 4

1:30 – 2:30pm

Where is Barossa Polo?

Barossa Polo is held at Chateau Tanunda, Basedow Road, Tanunda.


Is parking available?

Parking is available on site at the nearby Tanunda Train Station. Accessible from Mill St. From here, the polo field is a short 4 minute walk. 

Parking for the day is $10

Can I bring my own food?

Unforuntately, the event does not allow any food or beverage to brought on to site.

Families are welcome to bring kids snacks and water in on Saturday 4th December. However, we ask that no hot food is to enter the grounds.

Picnic Hampers will be available for purchase in the Family Area only on Saturday 4th December. 

There will be a variety of food trucks on site across both days of the event

Is the event accessible by helicopter?


Please get in touch if you wish to coordinate something! 

Can I bring my own seating/umbrellas?

The Family Area will have plenty of chairs and tables available! 

Please do not bring any chairs or umbrellas to the event. 

There will be plenty of shade available under the trees to the west of the polo field. 

Where is the Cellar Door Trail?

The Cellar Door Trail is in the Family Area on Saturday December 4 only. 

Are there toilet facilities inside the Family Area?

Yes, toilet and bathroom facilites are located inside the Family Area.
